Membership in HWETL connects educators to a strong network of professional and union support. Members benefit from collective representation, access to resources, professional learning opportunities, and advocacy on issues that affect their working conditions and professional lives. Being part of a union means having a collective voice. HWETL works on behalf of members to negotiate fair collective agreements, protect workplace rights, and address concerns related to employment, health and safety, equity, and professional practice.

HWETL offers a wide range of services designed to support members throughout their careers. Our office provides assistance with workplace issues, collective agreement interpretation, leaves and accommodations, professional concerns, and questions related to employment rights and responsibilities.

Through workshops, conferences, webinars, and collaborative learning initiatives, members can explore current educational practices, curriculum developments, and emerging issues in education.
